Why does my male cat do this?

We got a stray male cat when he was about 5 months old. He was always an outside cat by a farm. He always has been a biter n very aggressive player. So we decided maybe if we get him fixed he wud calm down. Ya right. He is almost 10 months old n is worse than ever. He has a new thing of spilling his water dish all over the place.. I don't know if he doesn't know if there is water in there or what his problem is but my hardwood floors are paying for it. I try to talk n disipline him but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have anything out there that can help me? I'm desparate!
