No one in my family got me a birthday present?

My birthday was yesterday (turned 19). My parents didn't get me a card, bought a $10 cake from the grocery store and took me to Applebees using the 2 for $20 deal (because it was right around the corner but I really wanted to go somewhere nicer). Please note, my boyfriend takes me to nicer restaurants than that like every week and he's a struggling college student. Basically they were cheap as hell and no we aren't going through money problems. My grandparents didn't get me anything at all either but a card they found in the sewing room at the last minute. Every year they've always done way more, or I at least got $20 or something. I wasn't expecting a huge gift, but dam n I at least expected something to show they seriously put thought into it. I don't think it should be the case that my own boyfriend gave me way WAY better gifts and showed me a nicer time than my own parents. I thought I wouldn't care but it really hurts that they really didn't do much for me. Is that bad and selfish? It's NEVER been like this before
