Rescued Jenday Conure?

I just rescued a 2 yr old Jenday Conure whose name daiquiri. She is hilarious and very smart! She already says "screw it" and is trying out new words with us just since the couple hours we have had her. She is quite the biter however and when we went to get her she divebombed my head and tried to bite my hair! How can we work on this with her? I can tell she wants to interact with us and wants out of her cage. Can I let her out of her cage so she can chill out on top of it or should i wait for a couple days? Just so you all know she was bought from a pet store by a man who put her in a cage and left for 4 months and the neighbor found her barely alive with no food or water. She was adopted by the woman I got her from and nursed back to health. They had to move to a place they couldnt have her so I took her and here we are.
