What creature is this?

I am getting all these little creatures running through my room lately and I'm not quite sure what they are, I always just assumed they were toe biters as they always seem to be digging at my toes when I notice them, but I looked up toe biters on the internet recently and they do not look anything like this creature. I don't have a picture of it, nor can I find one as like I have said, I have no idea what it is, so describing its features is the only real way (If you figure out what it is then you are quite the entomologist... ). I am also from Australia by the way. Anyway, well it is about the same length as your standard adult cockroach and a bit thinner, it has 4 legs and 2 pointy V-shaped things at the back horizontal with its body. The most standout feature of these creatures is the 2 pincers each side of its head. It has wings but from what I have observed, it cannot fly (although it can jump fairly high and stay aerial for about a second). It is brown in colour. I don't really know what else I can put about them except for that they really seem to like biting at your toes (they scare the hell out of me when they do...). They are also pretty fast.
